A pair of MAN V8-1300s have been diligently selected to be the workhorse of the Valder Yacht. All that power is efficiently delivered via the ZF 665V gearbox to a pair of CJR 5 Bladed propellers. These propellorss are a bespoke high-speed design machined to Class S which is described as “Very High Accuracy”.
Carbon fibre has a strength-to-weight ratio about twice that of the S-glass used in most boats. Carbon fibres have other advantages, including high stiffness, high tensile strength, low weight, high chemical resistance, high-temperature tolerance and low thermal expansion.
